The Indian Board of
Alternative Medicines has established a herbal garden to showcase
traditional Indian medicinal plants and their therapeutic properties.
This herbal garden has been built to promote awareness, especially
among children and farmers about herbal plants and to familiarize
people about their benefits. Bio-diversity conservation and generation
of a field, gene bank for rare and important plants are also among the
objectives of a garden. |

The herbs have been planted in different rows. Some important herbs
among them are Ashwagandha, Bergamot Mint,
Bhumy Amlaki, Brahmi, Citronaela, Evening Primrose, Geranium,
Ghritakumari, Giloy, Isabgul, Kalmegh, Lemon Grass, Marigold, Menthol
Mint, Milk Thistle, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Peppermint, Pudina,
Quinaghaosu, Sadabahar, Sarpagandha, Shatavari, Spearmint, Vach,
Vetiver and so on.
